Kate Weissman’s career in the lumber and building industry spans over 35 years, starting in 1986 when she transitioned from the service industry to Windsor Building Supply in Hyde Park, NY. Her dedication and drive quickly led her to roles with increasing responsibility, from administrative work at Lowfec Construction, where she gained hands-on knowledge of construction materials and blueprints, to sales positions in the ENAP lumber coop. With guidance from a mentor and a willingness to go beyond her role, Kate established herself as a trusted professional. Her career continued to grow with roles at Do It Best and Georgia Pacific Gypsum, before returning to ENAP in 2001 to help negotiate programs and manage large coop events. In 2008, Kate embraced an outside sales role, expanding her territory from two to six states and driving over $1 billion in sales. Today, she remains the only female of the LBM Advantage Member Development team, dedicated to serving and growing member businesses while inspiring women across the organization and the LBM industry.
